Your group is responsible for creating a PowerPoint or Prezi about the Crusade(s) that you have been assigned (see included group list). This presentation must contain approximately 15-20 slides that:
1. Give a chronological history of your Crusade(s)
2. Show how it helped to accelerate change in European society
3. Include at least 1 map and 8 graphics
Otherwise, the assignment allows you to be as creative as you like! Some previous groups have chosen to embed reenacted videos into their presentations, while others have drawn their own graphics. What you choose to do is up to your group, but the minimum parameters are mandatory in order to receive full credit.
Use the “Group Talk” forum to share ideas, files, etc. It does not matter how many slides each student creates since the entire group is responsible for this project and each person is expected to contribute. You may want to consider creating a Google Doc in order to work on individual slides simultaneously before putting them into the final product. Ultimately, it is up to your group to decide what works best.
Group assignments are listed below; specific group members’ identities are posted in the classroom:
Group 1: First Crusade (1090-1099AD) Group 2: Second Crusade (1147-1149 AD) Group 3: Third Crusade (1187-1192AD) Group 4: Fourth (1202-1204AD) and "Children's" Crusades (1212AD) Group 5: Fifth and Sixth Crusades (1217-1229AD) Group 6: Seventh, Eigth, & Ninth Crusades (1248-1272AD)
